Mallika’s real name is 'Reema Lambha'; she changed her name because there are many Reema's in the industry. Mallika graduated in Philosophy from Miranda House and has worked as a part time airhostess. She has an estranged relationship with her family, who are very religious and don't agree with Mallika working in the movies. She had to pay a heavy price to pursue her dream of becoming a Bollywood Queen – she had to divorce Jet Airways pilot Captain Karan Singh Gill. She did several ads and music videos before her film debut, including the Santro ad with Shah Rukh Khan. She had 17 kissing scenes in her debut film, ‘Khwahish’. While the publicity machinery going berserk promoting Mallika’s next film Kiss Kiss Ki Kismat as a sizzling sexually simmering synthesis of the two Jat actors Dharmendra and Mallika Sherawat, the fact is the twosome play father-in-law and daughter-in-law in the film.

Mallika Sherawat born on 24 Oct 1972 is an Indian actress who appears mainly inBollywood films. Known for her bold onscreen attitude in such films as Khwahish (2003) and Murder (2004) Mallika Sherawat has been frequently featured in the media as a sex symbol. Mallika Sherawat than appeared in successful romantic comedy Pyaar Ke Side Effects(2006) which won her much critical acclaim.
